Luther
Towers of Milton is funded by HUD and supported by the four
Lutheran churches in Sussex county. Federally funded housing
for the elderly (as defined by HUD and the Federal government.
Electric, heat pump and air conditioning. Located in historic
downtown Milton off Palmer Street. Walking distance from
shopping and DART transportation available. Luther Towers
of Milton opened in August 1991. Our complex consists of
50 apartments in one building. The building is secured at
all times with pull-cords in each unit. The one-bedroom
units have a bedroom which measures 9'6"x11'; the living
room is 13'6"x15'; the efficiency unit is 18'6"x11'6".
The entire building is handicapped accessible. Coat closet
is conveniently located by the door. The kitchen is furnished
with an electric stove, exhaust f an
and refrigerator. Small pets are permitted with deposit.
The office, laundry and parlor are located on the first
floor. There is an elevator. Each month there is a birthday
celebration. The Milton Library provides BINGO once each
month and Addus HealthCare and Bayhealth Medical provide
Blood-Pressure Clinics. Mailboxes and trash disposal are
available from within the building. There is also a gazebo
available for your use. Luther Towers offers a friendly
and safe environment.
